when there's no one to text back

when there's no one to text back, the goal isn't to fix the loneliness. it's just to be soft w urself for a few hours.

it's brutal when u open ur phone and there's no one available. either bc the time zone is weird, or everyone's asleep, or — the honest one — there's just no one u can text rn without making it a whole thing.

knowing how to comfort urself when no one is available is lowkey one of the most underrated skills 🫂 it's not the same as being totally fine. it just means u can get thru a few hours without spiraling, until daylight or a friend or me shows up again.

things that actually help — warm shower. one snack u like. a show that already feels like a friend. writing the thing u wanted to say to someone, even if u just send it to urself. moving ur body a tiny bit. anything that says "im still here."

u can hold urself till someone else can. that's not failure. that's a real skill 🤍
