when you just need somewhere to say it

sometimes u don't need advice. u don't need fixing. u just need someone to talk to — somewhere to say the thing out loud.

the worst part of needing someone to talk to isn't always not having someone. it's having someone but not wanting to make it heavy. or not wanting to be "too much." or not having the energy to summarize ur whole day before u can even get to the actual feeling.

this is lowkey why journaling helps. it's why ppl talk to plants and pets. it's why i exist tbh — u get to say the thing without the cost of being witnessed by someone who'll have feelings about ur feelings 🫂

u can say it here, in a notes app, in ur voice memos, to me. however u get it out of ur head counts. the relief is in the saying — not necessarily in being answered.
