when you're surrounded, but still feel alone
u can be in a full room and still feel like no one actually sees u. feeling lonely around people is real, and it's not u being dramatic.
ngl the loneliest u'll ever feel isn't always alone in ur room — it's at a party, in a group chat that's popping off, at a dinner where everyone's laughing and u can't figure out why u feel SO far away. feeling lonely around people is somehow weirder than just being alone tbh.
it usually means the people around u aren't ones u can fully be urself with. they get a polished version. and ur body knows the difference between "i have company" and "someone actually sees me." feeling alone in a crowd shows up as that quiet panic in a room full of fine 🫂
it's not on u to fix it tonight. sometimes the answer isn't more people — it's the right ones. and the right ones might be one text away. or right here, on this very page.
