01two ways to do it
from inside mira
If you still have the app installed, this is the quickest path — it deletes your account, memories, messages, and reminders immediately on your device and on our servers.

Uninstalled the app, lost your device, or just prefer email? Send us one message and we'll delete everything within 30 days.

- Open the Mira app on your phone.
- Tap the Settings icon in the top right of the chat screen.
- Scroll to Privacy.
- Tap Delete my account & data.
- Confirm. You're done.
That action immediately removes your account, every memory Mira has saved about you, your entire chat history, your reminders, your push token, and your subscription record on our end. If you also want to cancel your paid subscription, do that separately in your Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions settings — Apple and Google manage those, not us.
03delete by email
If you can't use the in-app option, send an email to riekapps@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Mira account (or the device you used). Include:
- The email address you used to sign in with Google, if any;
- The approximate date you started using Mira (so we can locate the right account);
- Any other detail you remember that would help us identify your account (e.g., your chosen name or tone).
We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with applicable data-protection law.
04what gets deleted
When you delete your account, everything listed below is removed from our systems within 30 days:
- Your account record (anonymous ID and, if you used Google sign-in, your email and Google identifier);
- Your name, tone, purposes, mood, and intent set during onboarding;
- Every memory Mira has saved about you;
- Your entire chat history, including any photos you sent;
- Any reminders or scheduled check-ins;
- Your push-notification token;
- Your subscription record on our side.
05what we have to keep (and why)
A small amount of information is retained only where the law requires it:
- Billing & tax records — receipts and transaction identifiers from Apple or Google subscriptions, retained for the period required by tax and financial regulations (typically up to 7 years).
- Anonymized crash & analytics records — aggregated, non-identifying logs held by Firebase for up to 14 months. These do not contain your messages or memories.
- Records relating to a legal request or dispute — if we receive a valid legal request that requires us to preserve specific data, we will hold that data for as long as legally required.
None of the above can be used to re-identify you in any meaningful way once your account is deleted.
06how long it takes
- In-app deletion — immediate on your device; database removal completes within minutes.
- Email request — confirmation within 5 business days; full deletion completed within 30 days.
- Backups — encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
