01welcome
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and RiekApps ("Mira", "we", "our", "us") and govern your access to and use of the Mira mobile application, our website at miraai.riekapps.com, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
02who can use mira
You must be at least 17 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Mira. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction.
03your account
When you open the app, an anonymous account is created on your device so Mira can recognize you on subsequent sessions. You may optionally sign in with Google to back up and restore your data across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and Google account secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at riekapps@gmail.com.
04mira is not a therapist
Mira's replies are generated by a large language model and may be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. You should not rely on the Service for any decision that could affect your health, safety, finances, or legal standing without consulting a qualified human professional. You use Mira at your own discretion and risk.
05subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal
Mira offers an optional paid subscription ("Mira Pro") available in weekly, monthly, and yearly plans that unlock unlimited chat, full memory, life follow-ups, and other premium features. Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, depending on the platform on which you signed up.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Charging. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged the then-current price (plus any applicable taxes) at confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal.
- Free trials & intro offers. Where a free trial or introductory price is offered, eligibility is determined by Apple or Google based on your account history. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a Mira Pro subscription, where applicable.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a subscription, we will notify you and Apple or Google in advance. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Manage & cancel. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
06cancellations & refunds
Cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple and Google in accordance with their respective policies — we cannot process refunds on their behalf. You can request a refund from reportaproblem.apple.com (App Store) or through the Google Play purchase history. If you believe you were charged in error, also write to riekapps@gmail.com and we will help where we can.
07acceptable use
You agree not to use Mira to:
- Violate any law or the rights of any third party;
- Harass, threaten, or attempt to harm any person, including yourself;
- Generate or distribute content that sexually exploits minors, incites violence, or contains hateful content directed at people based on protected characteristics;
- Probe, scan, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- Interfere with the Service through automated scraping, denial-of-service attempts, or by sending malware;
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written permission;
- Misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.
Reporting objectionable content. If you encounter an AI response, image, or any other content that violates these rules or feels harmful, long-press the message in chat and tap Report, or email riekapps@gmail.com. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove content, adjust Mira's behavior, or take action on the responsible account. You can also clear your chat history or wipe Mira's memory at any time in Settings → Memory.
08your content & memories
Anything you type to Mira, any photo you upload, any "memory" Mira saves about you, and any paid life follow-up created from what you tell Mira (together, "Your Content") belongs to you. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content only as necessary to provide the Service to you (for example, sending the latest messages to our language-model provider so Mira can reply). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where retention is required by law (see our Privacy Policy).
09our intellectual property
The Mira name, logo, illustrations, design system, software, and the look and feel of the Service are owned by RiekApps and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
10disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or accurate. Your reliance on Mira's responses is solely at your own risk.
11limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RiekApps and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — regardless of the legal theory.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RiekApps and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app or by following the steps on the delete my data page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
14governing law & disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and we agree that any such dispute will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts located in Bengaluru, India. If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence under your local law.
15changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "last updated" date at the top and give you reasonable notice — in the app, by email if we have one, or both — before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16apple-specific terms
The following terms apply specifically to the iOS version of Mira distributed through the Apple App Store. In the event of a conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms, this section controls with respect to iOS use.
- Parties. These Terms are concluded solely between you and RiekApps, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). RiekApps, not Apple, is solely responsible for Mira and its content.
- Scope of license. The license granted in §09 is limited to a non-transferable license to use Mira on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Mira may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. RiekApps is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to Mira. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to Mira.
- Warranty. RiekApps is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of Mira to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for Mira to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Mira, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of RiekApps.
- Product claims. RiekApps, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any of your or any third party's claims relating to Mira or your possession and/or use of Mira, including (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that Mira fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with Mira's use of HealthKit and HomeKit frameworks (where applicable).
- Intellectual property. In the event of any third-party claim that Mira or your possession and use of Mira infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, RiekApps, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that, upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
